H.Res. 1100 · Congress
Directing the Committee on Ethics to preserve and publicly release records of the Committee's review of violations or alleged violations of clause 9 (as it pertains to acts of sexual harassment) and clause 18 of rule XXIII of the Rules of the House of Representatives.
Introduced Mar 4, 2026 · Motion to reconsider laid on the table Agreed to without objection.
What does this mean?

This resolution tells the House Ethics Committee — the group that investigates misconduct by members of Congress — to hold onto all its records about past sexual harassment or sexual assault cases involving House members, rather than letting that paperwork disappear or get destroyed. It also requires the committee to make the findings, conclusions, and supporting documents from those investigations public within 60 days, so voters can see what happened. Names and identifying details of victims and witnesses would be blacked out to protect their privacy, but the outcomes of the cases themselves would become part of the public record.
