H.R. 758 · Government Operations and Politics
Mail Traffic Deaths Reporting Act of 2025
Introduced Jan 28, 2025 · Received in the Senate and Read twice and referred to the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.
What does this mean?

The U.S. Postal Service—the government agency that delivers mail across the country—would have to start tracking traffic crashes involving its mail trucks and delivery vehicles that cause injuries or deaths. Postal workers and the contractors who drive for USPS would be required to report any such crash within three days, and the Postal Service would need to keep an internal record of all these incidents. Once a year, USPS would also have to publish a public report summarizing this crash data, so anyone could see how many people were hurt or killed in accidents involving mail delivery vehicles.
