Subterranean Border Defense Act

What does this mean?

U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the federal agency that patrols the border and inspects people and goods entering the country, already has a plan for dealing with smuggling tunnels dug under the border. Right now, the agency only has to file one report on how that plan is going, due a year after the plan is created. This bill would make CBP keep reporting on that plan every year going forward, instead of just that single time, so Congress gets ongoing updates rather than a one-shot check-in.
