H.R. 249 · Public Lands and Natural Resources
To redesignate certain facilities at Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park in honor of Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr.
Introduced Jan 9, 2025 · Committee on Energy and Natural Resources Subcommittee on National Parks. Hearings held. With printed Hearing: S.Hrg. 119-238.
What does this mean?

Two spots inside Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park in Paterson, New Jersey — a bridge along a scenic overlook trail and a small park — would get new names honoring the late Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr. The bridge would become the "Bill Pascrell, Jr. Scenic Overlook Trail Bridge," and Overlook Park would become "Bill Pascrell, Jr. Overlook Park." This doesn't change how the park operates, who can visit, or what activities happen there — it simply changes the signage and official names of those two features as a form of tribute.
